Aaron and Megan's Wedding
Theme/Color: The couple are amazing Christians, so they decided to hold a small, family and friends Baptist ceremony and reception at their church; First Baptist Church Huffman. Megan did not know why, but she decided on purple for her color theme, which played out so beautifuly.
Timing: The couple decided to plan their wedding around their honeymoon. The couple was married on March 27th, 2010 at 4:30pm while their honeymoon will take place on May 28th through June 4th. Aaron's favorite Christian autor is flying to the US to host a seminar for one weekend only in Tenn.
Attire: Megan wore a beautiful white Alfred Angelo wedding dress. The guys wore black tuxedos with purple ties, Aaron wore a white tie. The girls wore purple, tea length dresses Megan found for 60% off!
Ceremony: The ceremony was held in the chapel. The groomsmen and bridesmaids were horseshoed out facing the audiance and the bride and groom. The couple had two pastors for the ceremony, Megan's life long pastor from Temple Oaks Baptist and Aaron's pastor from FBC Huffman.
Reception: The reception was held in the church's hall. Tables were decorated with white linens and purple satin accents. Beautiful white iron candle holders were the centerpieces.
Flowers: The flowers were a mixture of Iris's (the mother of the bride's name), roses, and filler flowers that had purple accents. The bride carried a round bouquet while the bridesmaids carried arm held bouquets. The groom wore a white rose with purple filler boutainer, while his groomsmen wore only purple filler boutainers.
Cake: The bride's cake was a three tier, square, white cake with white icing. The topper was a beautiful spray of matching bridal flowers. The grooms cake was a cute replica of the cookie monster with an assortment of cookies spreading out around the cake.
Drinks: The couple served sodas, water, tea, and punch.
Food: The couple had a beautiful display of a fruit bar, an assortment of sandwhichs, and an aray of chips and dips. Just a simple brunch menu.
Photographer: The main photographer was a friend of a friend who provided his services for free. But when he soon darted for the door before all events were over with, the wonderful Autumn Beckman Photography stepped up and took over as the main photographer. AB Photography was already taking photos of all important photos for the bride and groom because she knew what the bride wanted and the bride's style of photography.
DJ: The DJ was a fellow member of the church who played mainly christian music during the reception.
Guests: the couple invited over 200 guests and just about that many showed up.
